Just wondering if anyone have experienced problems with the nvidia quadro fx 1700 running with Avid Media Composer4 vs using the fx 1800. is there really a big difference with running applications.

I have the 1800 but with 3.0 and it works fine.

I have a 1700 and and I'm happy of it as it runs very well both MC and occasionally After Effects, but if I was to buy today I'd go for a 1800: more powerful/modern and most of all has a GPU that works better in conjunction with MC.

I have the 1800, works very well, and on a Vista sys with enough memory the system is sharing memory to the card, instead of the internal 768 mb, I get another 2046 mb from my sys so that my total available graphic memory increases to 2814 mb
