Hey guys!
I once again turn to you to help me with some questions.
What is the best reccomended workflow for editing if the client wants to be able to use thier laptop Media Composer to log the same footage we are going to have on our MC Adrenaline? Idealy they would want to ingest on our our end (saving us time and them money) and take a consolidated project with them to log. The problem I'm seeing is coming back the other way. They log all the footage/name clips/make selects. How do you easily match that into our copy of the project? I know they do it on feature films all the time (so I've heard/read).
My second question sounds unrelated but deals with the same client. We will be using DVCPro HD tapes as well as P2 media. Next year the client will want to use the same material. We can easily ditch the captured tape media and re-capture. But I havent figured out how to do a similar workflow with file based media (ie P2). You can't really re-import it as you would images or music. Any ideas? I havnt found (and maybe I missed it) an easy way to do this in the forums yet.
Thanks in advance again everyone!

Help on first question:
As long as you make exact duplicates of the media (copy media at the Windows level), you will be able to trade sequences without problems.
On the P2 recpature issue. This depends on your software version. But it is possible. Bob Russo walked me through the technique in MC v3.1.x awhile ago. Now at v4 ish I believe this is still possible. But ask Bob (hey Bob!).
