New install of MC 4.02, HP Z400, recommended config, recommended drivers, Dynex recommended 1394 card, onboard audio. Vista 64 Business. When trying to playback to Sony TRV-900 (temp source) over firewire I get the following errors if I have Output to DV Device checked in Video Display options: Assertion failed: dsList->IsValidRequestList()File: \coresw\Acme\src\AsyncExec.cpp, Line: 534. If I continue to debug I get this: Ececutable : AvidMediaComposer.exePid ea0 Tid84. Module DvBuffers.ax, 3 objects left active! At line 319 of S:\external\Dx8Sdk\Baseclasses\dllentry.cpp Continue?
Searched KB and other postings but haven't seen this one. If i uncheck send to DV device everything works fine, audio and video play in computer. Any Ideas? Also tried re-registering DV buffers.ax, no joy.
Is this a multicam project? I have this issue when in multicam mode trying to play out through a DV Device.
No, simple DV 25 single cam test for new system. Using Dedicated internal HDD for video files. TRV-900 is the only thing on FW card. No internal FW either.
The problem is apparently with the FW card. The recommended Dynex Dx-Pc12Pf FW card does not work in my machine with ANY fw400 devices. Tried TRV-900, and GV-D800, neither work, and cause flamethrower and Assertion Failed errors. AN ANCIENT ADS Pyro card in the last PCI slot DOES work flawlessly however, for both devices. Haven't tried Analog Mojo yet, but the tech I was working with at Avid said there is no reason for it NOT to work, if the other devices work. I am going to try to exchange this card (Dynex) for another in case it is defective, but the old Pyro has solved the issue for now.
