avid media composer 3.5.1 with mojo sdi ,hp xw8600, nvidia 3700,windows xp,unity 5.
i have a problem to capture into avid with the "blackmagic decklink mini convertor analog to sdi".
i try to capture from dv (sony dsr 45 and sony dsr 60) into mojo sdi with this convertor, and after an hour or more i got interruption in the signal -and from then i cant capture anymore until i do restart to all the system (mojo, dv' convertor).
i try to upgrade the firmware version of the convertor,
try to use new user and project,
try to give refernce from blackburst to the mojo and the dv deck,
-it didnt solve the problem.
someone know what to do?
thanks.
Unhook the Mojo and go straight Firerwire form the decks into the Avid. Use the analog outs on the decks to monitor with. That should get you going. Also make sure you have selected record over time code breaks in your capture settings. It SHOULD work the way you have it hooked up, but why convert to analog, back to digital?
the dsr 45 is playing analong audio (balance -xlr) -and i convert it to sdi -than the mojo input is digital -and not analog (the mojo analog inputs are unbalance -rca).
that way i dont need to set the audio levels -and i dont have problem with audio at all.
but every timecode brake -i got problems with the convertor connection to the mojo -and just restart helps.
Did you check in capture settings to see if ignore time code breaks was checked?
What if You log the tapes and therefore capture without bumping into the TC breaks every now and then?
peace luca
i dont have login of the tapes. i only solution is to capture with other deck that not sensative to time code breaks.
thaks.
