ALE from R3D footage crashes DS

I am running Avid DS 10.1 and recently tried to import ALE files.  Each time the DS crashed.

One ALE came from a transfer house where they created the ALE from R3D files, transcoded to Quicktimes with the DNxHD codec attached.

The other ALE was created by me, using MetaCheater - This was based on a Quicktime, also provided by the transfer house, with the Animation codec attached.

All media/ALEs are based on footage that is 1080p and 23.976.

Please let me know any thoughts on why the ALE crashes the DS.

    Thanks!

In such particular cases, it is suggested to contact Avid Support and provide them with copies of the ALE files so they can reproduce these crashes. This is then escalated to engineering and inspected.
