we bought avid media composer 3.5.
a hp z400, which is avid certified.
it has a realtek sound card.
and we have no sound?
any idea what could be the problem.

Bios Version and Checked the bios settings (pdf above:)

And installed the Z400 drivers (supplied by HP)
Or do you have NitrisDX/MojoDX/Mojo/Adrenaline? If so then the audio will go out from the Avid hardware.

alright. been busy on other projects.
tried everything. but it doesnt work. i dont have any other hardware.
we only bought the media composer software.
