The amnesty program allowing customers who had purchased Avid Media Composer® v3.5.x, Avid Symphony™ v3.5.x or Avid NewsCutter® v7.5.x to upgrade to Avid Media Composer v4, Avid Symphony v4 or Avid NewsCutter 8 has ended. The www.avid.com/protect site is no longer available – per the communication on 4.0/8.0 which stated it ended on September 30, 2009.

Customers should be directed to the various upgrade options listed on the Avid Webstore or they should contact their Avid reseller, or Avid directly to buy the upgrades to v4.0/v8.0.
