    HELP AVID ERROR

so i havent used AVID in a while and i recently started it up again because i was going to begin editing a video i filmed, but i encountered a problem once I opened the capture tool and plugged in my camera.

the picture and sound show up fine and everything, but it wont allow me to capture because an error message constantly pops up everytime i exit it.... this is what it says:

    Exception: FILE_OTHER, filename:C:\Avid MediaFiles\MXF\1\

when i click more it saysa this.....

    Exception: FILE_OTHER, filename:C:\Avid MediaFiles\MXF\1\

Exception: SYS_ERROR, status 0, msg: The operation completed successfully

    waht should i do!?

    any help would be awesome

    thanks

    Re: HELP AVID ERROR

C would be the volume and its pointing towards an Avid MediaFiles folder on C.  and the MXF media files.

I would trash the Media data bases first and see if Avid can rebuild new databases.  If that does not work you might have to do a divide and conquer process to locate the offending file.  When did the error begin?  Your search may involve only new media stored since you stated getting the error

    Good Luck

    Re: HELP AVID ERROR

This is totally just a guess as I'm no tech. expert but I wonder if you're logged into Windows as an Administrator or in some other user.  It's possible that an invalid user account could be the reason you're blocked from the MXF file.

good luck, (sorry carl I know that's your thing to say)

Access denied is a permissions issue. Check this procedure.
