When using Mixed Frame Rates on Symphony 4.0.2, auto-patching does not work. For example, when working in a 25p project and you are loading 25i or 24p material in the source monitor, auto-patching becomes unavailable.
If anyone would care to test this with other (NTSC-)formats and chime in here, please do. Also, I hope someone can try to reproduce this issue in MediaComposer 4.0.2.
The above has been succesfully reproduced on two different Symphony systems, using both 25i as well as 24p material in a 25p project. On both occasions, auto-patching was unavailable.
Did a quick test, Wouter, and I'm seeing the issue as well. Symphony Classic Nitris v 4.0.2.
Have you escalated it yet Job?

Nice catch! I reproduced it, logged a bug, and tested a simple fix for it.I'll make sure this is fixed in a follow-on release (probably 4.1). Thanks!Sorry for the oversight.

Sorry, had missed your question and no, not yet. But bwhilhelm was on it pretty fast as it turns out. Thanks!
There's another one Wouter has brought up, that I did escalate. I labeled it medium, since it brings audio rendering trouble for anyone using perf slip.

this might be obvious but will the bug-fix on symphony go into MC as well? i've got the same issue in MC4.02.
cheers

Yes, it will be fixed for all flavors of the app (Symphony/MC/NC).I think it is currently planned for the 4.0.5 release of Symphony/MC.
