I've read all the previous posts regarding the "'Bus Error' in thread 'Main Thread', at address 0x0" error. I'm just starting a multi-cam project and I've gottn a few of these errors already.
It seems this only affects multi clips, but that's what needs to be worked with so, is there a way to work properly.
My question is, is there a fix? Or is there an upgrade version that fixes this (I'm on MC 3.0.1, but it doesn't seem to make any difference, all the way up to 3.5)
I can't believe everybody working in multi-cam shows is going thru this.
Looks like this has been going on for a while, so I'm hoping Avid has a fix for this. As a last resort, can any of the testers for MC 4.0 tell us about it's performance with multi-cam.
There were many Bus error fixes included in later versions of the software. Make sure you have installed 3.5.6 to get the latest fixes.
Also, Bus errors can be caused by problems in the drive chain as well. If you are having issues with your storage, or the Media on that storage, you will see Bus errors as well.
What type of storage are you using?

Deleting the .avs file from the offending project is always a good place to start. IMHO, those settings are easily corrupted in 3.5.x.

Thanks, BLKDOG. I'm using local storage thru esata (DNxHD36 footage). From what I've read here in these forums, this seems to be a persistent problem. Have these later versions fixed the multi-cam/multi-clip related ones? I have 3.5.0 but haven't installed it yet. I've seen many posts by people with a few 3.5.x versions installed and they still have these Main Bus Error 0x0, multi-clip problems, would an upgrade really help?

yes I think it is worth it - why because I usually am the one sending out the patch and most have reported success in some way or another with the issues they have experienced.
Send me a note to my email and I can have it fired off to you.
