    MC 3 upgraded and crashing already - why am i not surprised

    After buying a new HD and installing a frsh OSX and only  MC3 upgrade/FM 5.1.2 and Squeeze 5/ Media composer has already started crashing.

     

    Segmention fault, again and again and again.

     

    Even after allteh updates and new versions Avid still can not stop that happening

    I have installed MC 3, from an upgrade kit.

     

    The problem is now worse, i can not even start MC, each time it gets as far as initializing Media Streams Manager and then crashes with the following error message.

     

    Segmentation fault in thread Main Thread, at address 0x0.

     

    I have no Drives connected.

    Delete the database files - msmFMID.pmr and msmMMOB.mdb - then re-start.  I had the exact same problem, and the exact same solution worked.  Actually, this was within the last few days, and it's in a thread that's already on here.
