I am on the market for a new laptop and was considering the MacBook Pro 13.3" model (2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile, 2GB DDR3, 160GB HDD, DVD±RW DL, Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard, 13.3" LCD) I want to use it with MC 3.0. I looked at both the supported systems and minimum system requirements on the avid site but i am not sure if it would work or not. On the one hand the minimum system requirements say it needs at least an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz (laptops), which the 13 inch macbook pro is slightly under. And on the other hand the list of qualified Apple notebooks list the 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 17” and 15' Display as qualified systems (which have a slower processor than the 13" macbook pro im looking at) Does anyone know if it would work? (even if its not supported) Thanks for the help!

I think the problem might be the graphics processor. You might run into a playback problem because the 13 inch has only the slower processor, while the 15 and 17 inch have the same processor, plus a second, faster one. You switch between the processors depending on whether you need battery life more than graphics performance, or vice-versa. If it was me, I wouldn't gamble on the slower one.
Good luck,
Andy
