Is there still a trade in deal from Adrenaline to Nitris DX?
Thanks
And if analog mojo doesnt work anymore... will there be a trade in for them...??
Maybe this is to technical, but if Mojo Analog will work on MC4, there must be supplied drivers for Mojo Analog, if not, it will not work.
I hope there is someone outthere who is brave to test it before we consider upgrading.
When MC4.0 is available for download as a 14-day trial I plan on installing it to check compatability with the analog Mojo. When it's available and I have a chance to run it through the paces I'll report my success (or failure).
Marianna: Todd is spot on..... DC66Steps.... Regarding question #2 The short answer is yes. It's not that we added support for p2 as it was already there but with the new editors we have the ability to remove advanced or normal 3:2 on the fly. No render needed. woooo hoooooo Marianna

Thanks Butcher.
I thougth of this alternative, but I have only limited access to the editing bay these days, and I have to do other things then.
Really excited about mixed frame rates. How will it work? Say I have a 1080i59.94 project and timeline and I splice in a clip that is 1080p23.98, what will happen? Will it do a timewarp or add 2:3 pulldown?
I know it says no transcoding to edit, but do we still have to transcode before performing a Digital Cut?
Thanks for answering.
Like film editor Steve Cohen has said in numerous press releases, "it's just like Magic". You add the mixed media into the timeline and it just plays in full quality. In order to go out to a deck, you simply drop the timeline into the appropriate project type and play it out to tape.

Will Media Composer 4 finally support the Canon 24f format? Avid "claimed" it supported it in 3.5 but you had to capture without timecode. Will 4 be able to finally work with it properly?
Well, I knew it. I posted a few weeks ago asking about MC4 and was told not to speculate despite a qualified AVID retailer telling me it was coming out. I asked here if I could wait until I got back from a shoot in Europe (back October 11th) to upgrade from my Xpress Pro to MC for $495. No problem everyone said. So, my question, does the upgrade offer still stand or do I have to get my wife to rush out and buy the MC3.5 upgrade before the 15th or lose out on the offer and have to pay the full $2300 when I get back?
Inquiring minds want - and need - to know.
We can't yet say what the upgrade pricing will be but it's pretty safe to say that you will not have to pay the full $2300.

Hi Sam Z.Yes, a motion adapter timewarp effect is automatically added to the clip in the timelineand its output format is set to add 2:3 pulldown in this case.(That would also be true for any 23.976p or 24p clip in 59.94i.)You can render the timewarp effect to create a native 59.94 precompute before performing Digital Cut.Bruce

Thanks for the continued dongle support

what is it you want to know? How it handles the concersion from those rates to 25?
AndrewAction: bwilhelm:Yes, a motion adapter timewarp effect is automatically added to the clip in the timelineand its output format is set to add 2:3 pulldown in this case. And for 25 with 23.976, 24, 29.97 and 59.94?Or 23.976, 24, 29.97 and 59.94 with 25 or 50?

In general, we try to initialize all frame rate motion adapters with reasonable defaults. The Source format typically reflects the Field Motion of the clip (a new attribute & bin column). The Field Motion can be Interlaced/Progressive/2:3 Film/Progressive Strobe. The Output format usually reflects the project type you are in (Interlaced/Progressive),with the exception of 23/24 clips in 30, which is set to 2:3 Pulldown. The render Type selection is also dependent on the clip/project combination. In all cases, the user can promote the motion adapter to a full timewarp and override these values.Bruce

Still not quite clear on that one. Here is my simple question:
Can we mix ALL PAL and NTSC framerates in the same timeline?
