is there any trick? i have 5.1 installed on the mac, i believe 5.0.1 on the file manager...i launch fibre manager on the mmac, and it sees all the volumes once logged in...i check 2 workspaces and hit okay to mount them...nothing happens...i have connected servers enabled in finder....when i go back into manage connections, nothing is checked, like on a PC...any ideas?

I too suffer this problem almost everyday, workspaces not mounting, sometimes i have to reboot My Mac four or five times to get the workspace to mount. Highly annoying and time consuming.Avid have said this issue is fixed in Fibre Manager 5.1.2, but i can safely say that it is not.
Thats weird. i have Unity5.0.1 Engine and Unity5.1 Client on mac and it works fine.
Check: Case Sensitivity on Login Account. If you use "user" in leu of "User" which is how you set it up on the Engine, then it can show you mountable partitions but will not mount it.
Check that before we troubleshoot some more.

Many thanks for your reply.
It may help if i tell you what trouble shooting steps i have taken.
I have tried making all workspace name less than 15 characters
I have tried deleting Fm prefs before and after moutning workspaces
I have tried logging in as administrator and master.
I have double checked that no teo clients have teh same computer name
I have checked that our dongle supports enough clients.
I have checked case sensitivity - When you open Fibre Manager the last log in detaisl are shown in the User Name section, i do not alter this, do not alter teh case of the letters, and sometimes workspaces mount sometiems they dont.
It appears that it is totally random and totally unpredictable.
I shoudl say that we are running
Untiy version 5.1.1
Client versions 5.1.2
Any ideas
Check Atto Driver and Firmware. and make sure it coinside with the Unity Version your currently running.
It might be the same with 5.0.1 and 5.1.
If all fails, get a Clean Hardrive and do a fresh install of OSX and install Unity in this manner.
Atto Drivers and Firmware (Reboot) -> Install Unity Client (Reboot & and Plug Fibre Cable) -> Test without installing anything.
This should mount partitions without any problem.
make sure there are no spaces in the workspace names, if there are use an underscore
SO HERE IS MY ISSUE...BEEN IN FCP HELL SINCE I POSTED, JUST NOW GETTING BACK TO THIS.
so i can see all workspaces, but can't mount any...everything previuosly mentioned is correct...I can get into admin, and when i go to workspace management, none of the workspaces show up...if I go to add...they all show up, and they say no access...i could change all to read/write inthis window, but not sure how that would work...how do I go about setting up new workspaces to work with the Mac if I'm logged in on a PC to do the Administration? I'm waiting on hold with avid SUCCESSSSSSSSS right now.....will let you know what I find!
also, in admin tool, when i look at the users list, and go to my user i'm connected as, all volumes show up as R/W...but none are showing up in the workspace management....still on hold.....
but i'm having a good time listening to the music!
so...the user name had a space...created new user without space....everything mounted....and as far as admin tool goes...mac can't create volumes and such (per AVID Success), so that work will stay on the PCs for now!
hope this helps...although it was different from the other issue brought up that was intermittent...
cheers!
