Hi All,

I am running a MC client on a Vista 64, Access, Media Indexer are all working fine but we have found that we are not able to run some of the framework services like "Avid Service Configuration", "Avid Diagnostics" and "Avid Health Monitor".

The apps just quit without giving me any error message. I've tried install both 32bit and 64bit framework but have got the same result.

Everything work fine in Vista 32 and XP 32 ~ Anyone has seen this before ?

You should not install 64bit MI and FMWK on the client. It is strictly for the Media Indexer server.32bit apps will run on the editors.

Are you logged in as an administrator on the box?

Yes I did. We are running Vista by the administrator account.

MC = 3.5.4

Vista = Vista 64bit Business (Came with Z800 from HP)

I am working with Z400 with vista64 OS. The framework apps (Service config, Health Monitor, etc...) seems to be more slowly to load than on WinXP but it work well.

Could you launch the Workgroup Property and check your DNS status. If you can't try with an "nslookup" command.
