Before I put in a feature request I'd like to make sure I'm not missing something. Here is what I am trying to do:
I'd like to display the frame numbers of the source clip after it has been cut into a sequence. What I do now is in the Effect Editor of the Timecode Burn-In I select Display 1 and select the following pulldowns: Source, V1, and Current Time. This will show me the correct time code of the source. There is no option to show the frame number.
The closest I can get is to select the pulldown Frames and select the checkbox Local Frame Count but this shows the frame number of the clip in the sequence starting at frame zero and always at zero no matter where the clip was cut in.
Is there a way to show the frame number? I also plan on putting in a request such that we can have a custom start frame. We create our own MXF's so we could easily have a custom column with our starting frame count. We use 101 instead of 0 or 1 but there is no way to have the MC update the count. It is always 101. Any thoughts on that one would be great as well.
Thanks for any ideas. If there is nothing I can do now then I'll put in a feature request.

Have you tried DPX or VFX frames? You have to enter a default start number (like -0000) but we used to use it in Filmscribe to get the same sort of thing.
Haven't got a Version 3 Avid in front of me right now but if you can get to either of these columns through the new fangled timecode burnin tool you should be able to accomplish this.
Please let me know how you get on, I'm sure I'll need this on the next one...
