    "Exception: std:: exception, what:bad allocation" while importing

    For some reason when I'm trying to import XDCAM clips into a 1080p/29.97 project, I get this error:

    "Exception: std:: exception, what:bad allocation"

    Any thoughts on why?  I've imported XDCAM clips into other projects before with no problems and I think at least one of them has been 1080p/29.97.

    hmmmmmm the only time I have seen this error is when someone tries to capture a PAL 25fps clip in an NTSC 30i project.   There was even a tech note written for this as it was a common error for people doing that.

    Are you sure the project type is the same as what you are capturing?   Can you open a new project and try to capture the XDCAM clips into that???? maybe narrow it down to this specfic project.....

    Thanks for the info!

    I actually restarted the entire computer and it worked!
