"Bus error" in thread "MainThread", at adress 0X0

    Hi friends.

Imac Intel, 3 gb RAM, MC 3.1.1

During initialization of Audio Suite (which I have not used since installing 3.1.1), gets:

"Bus error" in thread "MainThread", at adress     0X0

    Press OK, MC crash

Progress text at bottom of Audio Suite window was:

    loading plug-ins: Stereo Mixer.dpm %96

Have dumped Site settings and MCState, no effect, however, they are not re-created by restart of MC, shouldn't it do that?

Will try a re-install / upgrade, but if you know the fix, me be 'appy!

Henrik, several months back there was a post about deleting two files from the digidesign suite before upgrading.

    Crash on opening audio settings

    http://community.avid.com/forums/p/69311/387528.aspx#387528

    to quote:

he Avid Editor applications can crash when using Tools->AudioSuite because of two incompatible AudioSuite Plug-Ins. The solution is to quit the application and move (or remove) the following AudioSuite Plug-Ins.

    On Mac OS X:

        /Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins/Stereo Mixer.dpm
        /Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins/Surround Mixer.dpm

you need to delete these and reinstall

Thanks, St.John, but it didn't work for this problem. Reverting to 3.05 caused all sorts of entertaining problems for a couple of hours, but now I can work.

Strange, the "audio follow video" option is gone now, using groups ... ? ... Well, worse things happen at sea.

    Thanks.
