    YOUTUBE

Hey guys Im having trouble uploading a video to youtube that i have edited on mc. Its a music video with green screen with heavy effects. As soon as I upload it to youtube I get really quality loss.  The footage is in HDV 1080i 60

I have exported in diffrently ways, but still get quality loss.

The way I go with exporting out of the avid with is quicktime trying to get out as uncompressed as i can then taking it to compressor using ther h.264 settings, Also Adobe Encoder i have tried ther youtube premade settings and there h.264. but I still lose quality upon upload.

And i have tired to use youtube settings they recommend but still dosetn help.

Any help will be great thanks guys.

YouTube reencode so you may have to live with some quality loss.

Here is a HD one of ours uploaded as a Sorenson encoded H264 (mp4)  1280:720   I was pleasantly suprised by the quality and streaming ability playing fullscreen on a 1920:1200 monitor here.   (select HD mode.)

Thanks for the continued dongle support

    Re: YOUTUBE

How long is your video?  I just export my video straight from MC:

    AVID DNxHD Codec, 1280 x 720, Millions

and upload that directly to YouTube and it looks good to me?

Unless your video is over the 2GB limit, no reason to re-encode before uploading at all.
