Just upgraded from MC 2.8.3 to 3.5.4 and now I can't seem to find or get the "P2 Import" under the File menu to show up. The "Import XDCAM Proxy" seems to be missing too. I've tried selecting a bin and then going to File menu; tried selecting the Project window and going to File menu - but nothing there. Looked through Help and it says it's in the same place it's always been, but no luck...Do I need to turn on a setting somewhere to see this now? I'm sure it's my dumb mistake, but I've never had this happen before with an update.Thank you,Blake

As detailed in the ReadMe that accompanied your software, Avid implemented a new technology, starting with v3.5. It's called, "Avid Media Access (AMA) Plug-In Architecture". From the ReadeMe:
Allows you to link clips (XDCAM, XDCAM EX, and P2) from a third-partyvolume into a bin without storing the media directly onto your system.
See “File Based Media” in the Help.
The technology in ON by default, but can be turned off in Settings > AMA. Take a look at it, and I'm sure you'll see the benefit. All upside, no downside.

Okay, thanks. I saw that AMA stuff and did read about it but didn't put 2 and 2 together. Like I said, my dumb mistake. I'll take a look at it. Thanks again.
It would help. if in the ReadMe, they specifically said it replaces the previous method of File >Import P2 ....
