    Re: Equivelent version of mediacomposer

The versions are identical across PC and Mac. Are you sure that you're not confusing Color, a stand-alone app bundled with FCP, with Avid's rather more limited color grading tools?

That's not true.  As was said, the software is identical between Mac and PC.

    Hi,

Can you post a screen shot of your Windows Media Composer in Color Correction mode?  It might help if we could see what you see.

    good luck,

It looks to me as if you're looking at the color effect and not the colorgrade toolset.  Colorgrading is identical in both systems - I have used both, and there's no difference.  They're certainly not like the tool in MC version 1.0.

related to Equivelent version of media composer

though MC versions are equivelent in both pc and mac.but there is a advantage to mac users using MC with latest version of FCP bundled with color correction software 'Color'.MC automatically uses the color correction tools of Color as plug-in which is enhancement of color correction tool in MC. this facility is not available to PC users.

Note:Another third-party plug-in is PDF maker. In MC for mac uses this plugin for print to PDF(pdf format of bins containg clips as well as sequences) in print bin option in file menu.which is not available for PC users.

I am completely lost here. Are you suggesting that somehow Apple's Color shows up in MC as a plugin?

Re: related to Equivelent version of media composer

MC11.8 is actually an older version of Media Composer when it was tied to the Meridean and other hardware set-ups.
