Hi
Is there a way for creating an offline/online workflow with AMA?
i got a series shot with 4 Xdcam EX camcorders. i need to group clips in order to create a multicamera editing.
when i group 4 sources of Xdcam EX 1080p/25 i'm getting drop frames on playback even when running from an 8 disks raid.
i need to create an offline/online workflow for it, but i want to use AMA for connecting back to original media for a Symphony finishing.
is it possible?
i made a test in which i load all the shots using AMA, trancode the footage into 14:1, and made some editing and FX. then i tried to hide the transcoded media files, and re-load the original media with AMA, the seqence didn't relink to the orginal EX media.
Any idea?
According to Bob Russo, you are able to consolidate the media to your HDs (and transcode if you wish), cut your sequence, and then delete the media and then link your clips back to the AMA XDCam media again.

How should i link the clips to the original media?
should i just use the "link to AMA media" again? this is what tried to do but it didnt work.
because i can't use the re-link option when working with AMA..
Solved!
1. Load shots using AMA
2. Transcode footage into 14:1
3. edit offline
4. hide offline media files
5. duplicate seq to a new bin
6. use the relink command to link footage back the original resolution (you must select "all availibale drive" option in the relink window)
7. have fun
