    What would be a ballpark retail figure on this system and would it be the correct system to run the Symphony Nitris software on?

    HP turnkey platform

    • HP XW8600 Workstation
    • Dual Quad Core Xeon 3.00 GHz processors
    • 500GB SATA 3G/s 7200rpm system drive
    • 4GB system memory
    • NVidia Quadro FX3700 512MB PCIe graphics adapter
    • Microsoft Windows Vista Business SP1 (64 bit)

    One other thing....would I be able to upgrade to Windows 7 on this system when the new platform comes out?

    The xw8600 can't run Nitris ... not enough PCI-X slots for the Nitris Base & Codec boards.  The xw8400 was the last supported system.  Still avail as refurbished.

    you CAN run Symphony Nitris DX however...
