This Tutorial introduces the use of further Text-pages.They help keep different Titles separate from each other and thus reduce the chances of getting tied in knots!Believe me, getting tied in knots is quite easy in AvidFX............... at least in the beginning!
Also I take a short look at Fades.

This might be a difference between Red and FX, but if the text edit window doesn't immediately open up when you create a text media track on your timeline, you can double click the "nested" text track like you do in the tutorial, or the text container it lives in - either way it should open up the text editor.

It (AvidFX) does open up the Text Edit Window when you click on the Add Text Page icon.Sorry if the tutorial was confusing.
PS. The "tying in knots" was more of an example of my wry scottish humour! (no connection with Rye as in some american whiskies)

Which reminds me that I still have some Sazerac to finish off at home.
