Hi
We export to tape a lot - often to a Sony Z1 in VCR (deck) mode.
On the old PC it was easy - the PC recognised the camera, your sequence showed up on the camera screen, then you did a crash record while hitting play in capture mode. Never went near Digital Cut.
On the new Del M6300 laptop though, all sequences show up on the camera brutally distorted. I've tried a video mixdown, the works - no good.
Could it be an export settings issue, or more likely the camera?
Would be grateful for advice, as the Dell/Z1 combo is increasingly prevalent in newsgathering
Thanks
J
Just to clarify, on Digital Cut or Import Mode the exported material shows up on the deck as massively pixellated.
Any thoughts?
Just a thought but what is the video quality setting on your timeline, - I have a feeling that its not supposed to effect the output, but I know it does when you crash record. Switch it to the highest setting and see what happens. Video quality menu is the green/yellow or all yellow or all green rectangle at bottom left of the timeline.
