I have exported some DNxHD QT files from AVID at the University were I study, and now I want to work with these files on my home computer in After Efects.
The problem occures when i download the .zip file from:
at the bottom of the page.
I have tried unzipping the file in WinZip, and in Windows, but neither work. It sais: Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive. If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again.
My platform is Windows Vista, but I have tried downloading it on XP on a different computer as well, and the same problem occured.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
I succeded downloading an older version of the Avid codecs (LE 1.2.0), but this apparantly did not support 720p/50p (at least I could not choose this framerate at the outputdialouge in After Effects).
I have noticed this myself, and already started a thread to discuss the problem. I'm not sure if Avid has as yet rectified the situation.

Edit:
I just tried the page link you provided and it appears that the ZIP archive on offer is corruption-free. Worked here on my XP System using WinRAR.

Svien,
Got Jeff checking on this now but I dont know what it might be or what he can do today with this. WE are just about to enter a 4 day holiday period in the USA.
Best bet is to digidelivery you the codec zip file. I just sent the codec zip to your email address. In order to receive it you need to download the digidelivery client here:

HTH Svien and report back that it worked ok.

Thanks alot Marianna!
It now works perfectly. (...and I can export the files out of After Effects back to AVID using the setting "720p/50 DNxHD 185 8-bit" whitch was what I wanted)
Enjoy your 4 day holiday:)
mjolnarn:Version 1,20 should be the latest release, came with 3,5
I'm afraid not. 1.2 is indeed a much older version. From my recollection these are codec packages I am aware of in ascending version/revision number:
1.21.61.81.91.10 (One Point Ten, not One Point One)2.0 (Released with MC 3.5)
