Can someone please tell me where i can find a comprehensive list of MC console commands and their meaning / effect? This is something that seems to remain a mystery (to me at least...) and every so often someone reveals a new command that does quite wondrous things.
Why are console commands so arcane and not actually built into the menu structure of the GUI? In a post below re closed captioning a console command is "revealed" but where are these specifically to be found? Is there a secret cabal of MCusers who are mysteriously gifted commands and then after months / years of practising them can gift them on to lesser souls?
We should be told.

Console commands are fordiagnostics and for features thatare in process of being completedand have not yet been fully testedor have a complete GUI. It is also totest out certain features oralgorithms before putting them intoa main release. Most consolecommands are "use at your ownrisk"Michael Phillips, October2007
Job yer a star - thanks for that.
And that Brian Suttie needs a feather in his cap!
So presumably any list of commands are only pertinent to a specific software version and liable always to change in software upgrades. EG i see the setresize 9 commmand no longer applies in Symphony 3.5.
All making sense now... thanks
This one is my new favorite:
<<EnableCommitMulticam>>
When activated, it provides a new command in one of the pulldown menus that allows you to modify a sequence with no Multicam connections. This is great in the finishing world where I never need to match back to groups and it always adds an extra step to getting back to the master clip.

This is an absolute Godsend for me, and to be honest, I have no idea why it needs to be Console-activated. Can't it just be in the Right-Click Context menu? I mean, it's completely non-destructive (as it makes a copy of the sequence).
