Hi All,

I'm having trouble capturing.  I get deck control but no picture in the record window and when I try to capture I get this eror message:

avid assertion failed: index >=0 

file:\coresw\ame\src\consumers\devices\swcompcvrt.c,

line: 1980

The strange thing is we have 5 Avids on a Unity.  One is working fine! Capturing like normal... The other 4 have this error... We did have two capturing, for a few days, but when I came to check on it the Avid it was frozen and the tape was stuck in the deck. So now that one - the adrenaline, is down as well.  The working avid is using the same everything as the others - we just upgraded to MC3.5... I can digitize other types of media - dvcam, beta sp... Settings are the same - its the same project!

Hmm....

I would probably call support and pseak with a unity tech on this.... if I was to GUESS.....

I would point to the Avid database files.  With that said, I would be inclinded to delete all the  from all the Avid database filesfrom the Unity workspaces tied to the Avid Media Files. 

I would call support on this one though as it doesnt sound simple.

We figured it out (after a week) - it was the deck - the hv30.  When the adrenaline froze and the tape got stuck both the firewire on the hv30 and the firewire on the adrenaline malfunctioned and now need repair.  This threw us off.  At the same time I found this out, another tape got stuck in a separate hv30 that was being used for recording.  

So the deck (hv30) was the problem - still trying to figure out why though...
