Double check the audio sample rate of your imported clips against the set sample rate and bit depth for you project.
If it's different, you may want to transcode your audio media to the project settings. In fact even if it's not, you might want to just test whether re-transcoding your media solves this problem.
good luck
I have tried transcoding and re-transcoding but dint help. If i play the audio in 1394 its working fine and if i switch it on to DNA only i have this problem.
we've had one box that the audio gets crackly on playback after switching to and from dv. cycling the power on the bob usually corrects the problem. it is only on playback, there is acutally no problem with the files. kind of strange, but it seems to relate back to dv based material for us.
It uesd to be the case that you trashed the digi setup preferences every week on the old MC 6 on our mac back in the day, has Avid come a full circle?

If this happens after capturing material from tape, it will be recorded into the captured audio. You then must re-cycle the power on the BOB and re-capture the affected media. This problem pops up once in a while here. Re-cycling the power solves it every time.
