    Re: Batch Capture---now what????

    Okay, well now I am tryin to capture the footage again, just by using in 7 out marks and now it won't even do that. Before it was justa batch capture issues, not it's refusing to capture and giving me the same "video present but not captured" B.S.

    I was able to capture one of the last two clips by doing a crash record and turning off the TC on my capture window, but this last clip simply will not capture.

    This should not be so difficult.

    Re: Batch Capture---now what????

    I should also point out I have just left my THIRD message since Monday with Avid Support trying to renew my support contract and have yet to get a call back.

    Re: Batch Capture---now what????

    Not sure what is going on here. Can you try using a different Firewire cable? It could be as simple as a bad cable I guess? Never seen that error before. Huh?

    IMHO, Avid's firewire capture is horribly buggy and is in need of serious improvment.

    Yeah. I should have never got rid of my Express 5.0. This is godawful. Even when I have to go back and pull some DVcam footage it takes forever to load.

    The fancier the plumbing the easier it is to plug the sink.

    NateW,

    I e-mailed Marianna about your inability to get a Support contract.  Stand by and hopefully she will respond here soon.

    Re: Batch Capture---now what????

    Just an update on the topic;

    I created a new user, then opened the project under new users settings. (I read this on another Batch Capture FUBAR thread) Same result. Although that did manage to cure some rendering and playback issues I have had with another project and sequence.

    I'll have to remember this in the future.
