Got a really strange one here.
We are working in DNxHD120 and a bunch of media files went offline suddenly without warning. Looked in the quarantined folder and they were there. So we dragged them back into the normal media folder, rescanned the database and they came back online. Then 20 minutes later... same thing.
Created a couple more files from graphics import and now these are going offline. Funny thing is that normal video media files are OK it's only media which is a matte key, or made from a graphic import. However sometimes all media goes offline although only the graphics files get quarantined.
We are running Transfer Manager standalone in the background to receive files from EVS but the issue happens even if files are not being pushed.
Any ideas? We've always been able to run TM in the background in the past.
Did You reach the 5000 files per folder limit? Try creating a new numeric folder (e.g. call it 2 or 3...) in Your mxf files folder and move a bunch of files over there and see what happens.

Nowhere near... we've only just started a new project with freshly cleaned drives.
Noticed that the system is also creating a temp folder in the Avid MediaFiles/MXF/1 folder despite the Transfer Manager software pointing to C:\temp which does exist.
Maybe some program have modified the MXF file permissions?
What file permissions would cause them to become quarantined or: what are the correct file permissions for MXF files?
If any file no longer is "owned" by the Administrator, then you'll get a flurry of errors, e.g., Access Violations, or possibly bogus Quarantine. You can reset the ownership, going through Properties, Security & Sharing ....
