Go to the Settings tab in your project window, and click on the Bin settings, and just "enable Super Bin".

The normally one should just be able to single click on a bin, and it opens in one window. Then the next bin will open in the same window.

At least that is the behaviour at my work places' Avids (Mac and Windows).
