Have been working with Xpress Pro for a few years now with no big problems. Though recently my Avid can’t seem to find the dongle. “No dongle was found. Please connect a valid dongle to this computer to ensure proper operation I’ve tried switching from different USB ports, tried the dongle manager and updating though even the manager explains that it does not find any dongle. Avid and the dongle have worked fine till now when this problem arose, and I’m totally lost. Software: Avid Xpress Pro 5.6.0
OS: Windows XP SP3
Help appreciated.

Thanks a bundle! I shall try!
You're welcome! If the troubleshooting doesn't work, emailing Avid at the address in that link ought to help. If not, come back to this thread and let us know and we'll get it worked out.
Had this exact same problem a while back and it turned out the computer was not recognizing anything plugged into any USB port. Disconnecting the main power cable from the computer chassis, waiting 30 seconds, then reconnecting and powering up, the dongle was seen again.
