I've problems when export an EDL because the DS change the name of the files in the timeline, i use the files from the Silicong imaging cameras in 2K, when i try the use this EDL in SpeedGrade doesn't match with the original clips.....

How is it changing the names?  Can you give us an example of what the file names were before and after?

in the silicon imaging the names are DD/MM/YEAR/number of the clip like this

fe de agua_18_Mar_2009_02_48_01

but the EDL change this name for

fe_de_

and the EDL look

 the problem is this new name (fe\040de\040agua_18_Mar_2009_02_48_01) beacuse the Iridas don't find this clips....
 

So it appears that it is clipping the names according to the standard limitations of an EDL.

If that is the case, I'm not sure what the solution would be, other than some kind of 3rd party text/EDL manager.  Unless I'm mistaken, EDL's will only display up to a max of 16 characters even with a RED EDL template (that DS doesn't have yet).

Am I missing something?  Maybe someone else will chime in.
