I am editing in AVID Express Pro HD. I was eeiting a two camera shoot in Multicam. Evrything was going fine for the frist 18 minutes. I had to leave the AVID for an hour and a half mtg. When I resumed editing the timeline plays normal for 5 or 6 seconds then the source and Composer monitor play back a a stutter/strobe motion making it difficult to make clean edits. Down on the timecode layer a Red line appears where the strobe effect takes place. i have shut down the AVID twice and rebooted the server once. No affect. Can anybody help me with this? thanks
What happened between going and coming back? That red line indicates the system isnot keeping up with feeding video or rendering on the fly.

Is the media on an external drive? Does this drive shut down after being inactive for a while?

What kind of server?
And please, post your complete system specs! We will be able to help you in a much better way if ye know your system (including version numbers of MC, Quicktime and nVidia drivers).
