Many functions are not implemented at this moment, but basic file management functions
(copy, move, delete) are on their places

I've been reading about this program and it seems like it works well. We've got a problem here that I think it may help us with but I'd like another opinion:
We have tons of files in our OMFI MediaFiles folders that are from Projects we have deleted from our system. We've confirmed this by file names. In the Media Tool, these Project names still come up, but when we try to show all of the media from them, no results are shown. Would this program help us to get rid of all of that media from old projects that lingers on our system, and we are unable to delete with the Media Tool?
Yes, it'll help. We use both Media Tool and MDV to manage media.

So bascially I can use this to display Media and I can select the project from the left (the ones that were deleted but show up in Media Tool) and it will list on the right the files associated with that project? Once I delete (or move, at first) them and open Avid, the databases will mount and we'll have all the orphan files gone?
Orphan files will appear associated with "Null", as a project. But, yes, the process you describe is correct. When Avid is launched the next time, the media will be scanned & indexed, and new Media Databases built.
Thanks for replying. Just one more question...Getting rid of all "Null" files will not harm the system, as they are not associated with a project, correct?
That's my undertsanding. Of course, you could "move" them to a holding folder instead. Then, check to see if any were actually in use (Media Offline). Once you're confident that they are not necessary, you can delete the whole holding folder.
