Thanks!
Do we have a forum to post general questions about editing style?Example I did an Indian wedding and it was total crazy with people dancing and moving all around. Will it look lame with so many breaks in the footage?I have some GOOD shots but there so many breaks in the audio becaise I have a single cam and no assistant. What forum to post this kind of questions?

Here are several thoughts, mostly for the future. I mostly video concerts and recitals and, like you, I am the whole crew. Recitals are pretty easy because all the desired action takes place in one spot. With concerts though, I have to deal with soloists and performers focused all over the place. My first approach was just a wide shot covering everything. That was pretty boring. Then someone suggested a closer focus and moving the camera around. But, with that approach I missed some important shots. I then started to shoot at the rehearsals as well ... to get an idea how the event would unfold. That helps, but is not a cure all. I then started using a multicam set up. From what I'm seeing, that is the best solution for a solo videographer. As two of my cameras I am using Canon Vixia HFS100s with 32G cards and extended life batteries ... so I can shoot something like 2 or 3 hours unattended. I try to become familiar with the location for the best general shots and then place the camera there. For example, with the typical recital I use a back angle on the pianist (who is often otherwise hidden by the soloist). In your case, you might also consider using a digital audio recorder and making the audio file your sound track. You could fill in blank spots with "B roll" stuff.
So, this is what I have learned thus far about shooting solo:
1. Get as much info as you can about the event you're shooting
2. Multicam is the way to go
3. A separate audio recording has its uses (for me, mostly getting higher quality audio)
Are your cuts not working because the audio jumps through the song? I would try and cut on the beats, may help. If not separate your pictures from your audio track. Use your longest piece of music or one that can be beat matched or looped and cut your pictures over that. Or use a CD with some cheering. That might be faking it too much and you may prefer to stick with the actuality but don't worry about always having to use the sound that comes with the pictures.
