How big is your property store?

    Hi all,

Using interplay since 2007, our property store is now around 50GB.

    How big is yours?

There is a concern that this may be the reason of interplay slowdowns during searches.

    Thanks

    Hi Gaztic,

I checked in with one of the INterplay engineers and he said:

The size is quite normal and if searches are slow it could be due to:

    a) Not optimized searches (see best practises guide for searches) or/and

    b) Deletes during peak hours

    or/and

    c) Not installed mandatory patches and not optimized system settings, as this machines was installed 2007 it indicates the configuration is on "old" recommendations. Run Avid System Diagnostic Tools (BaseAnalyzer) and verify.

    or/and

    d) You are not within the limits (folder size, database size)

    HTH

Re: How big is your property store?

Thanks for your quick answer marianna.

    I have checked a), b)

In C) BA is failing patch p1248 and our OS is win2k3 SP1

    What does this patch fix?

Do we need to apply SP2 to our server?

What is the folder size and database size limit?

Do these limits apply to the archive engine also?

    Thanks again for your help.
