Good stuff Douglas!
Hi Douglas, I must say how much I enjoy the tutorials and am amazed at how fast you get them up onn the forum. "Brilliant"
As I travel quite a lot and am not able to always log on I would ask if you could advise how I can download them to my Hard Drive so I can view at anytime.
Regards
Fred

Thanks for the kind words, Fred.
There is a way to download them.... but, to be honest, I am not sure how it works. However, in conjunction with your question, I should point out that:
1. The files are flv files and have a resolution of 640 x 480
2. I have some plans of making a few DVDs with the collections and am happy if people can't find a way of downloading the files.... hehehehehehe

Good news Douglas, I for one will be happy to buy one of your DVD's lets face it you deserve to get some rewarrd for all the good work you are doing.
If you do decide to go the DVD route then please let me know I will be buying and am sure others will too.

thanks
I'd also like to see a DVD compilation of this awesome collection of MC wisdom!
not a pro, just a teacher...
Before this thread becomes a DVD request thread, I would like to take any discussions of a "commercial" nature away from the Avid forums.
Please send me a private email, and I will be happy to hear your wishes. douglas@gaijin-eyes.comThe Tutorials I upload here on the Avid site are done by me as a service to members of the Avid Community. Thanks for your interest,
I have had 2 emails asking if I am OK? The reason for concern was the noticeable absence of new tutorials!Don't worry. All is well. The heat and humidity tend to slow down my creative ability and I am also putting in a lot of my time updating my home page.
I have a long list of - tutorials to do.I will be back with them as soon as possible.Regards,Douglas
Today I took a break from my home page re-construction and completed the first in a short series of tutorials about AvidFX Title Tool (Boris Grafitti).
I hope it is useful to many of you in helping you get started using this very complete Titler.
Number 5 in the AvidFX Title Tool series added today!
Please could you post tutorial how place image (picture or logo) into roll title in Avid Marquee? I don´t know how to make it.
Thank you for your usefull tutorials.

And for the topic request how about

-Difference between Decompose and Consolidate

In case you were wondering, I am still around. Lately I have been extremely busy redesigning my own site and trying to bring it up-to-date.Now the most is done, including an updated Tutorial area, so I hope to get back to making more Tutorials for this MC - PC Forum.
Today I uploaded Tutorial - number 140!
Just uploaded 2 Tutorials today.Should have been only 1, but when I had finished the first one I noticed I had missed out a very basic, but vital, step.Rather than go back and rectify the mistake, I decided to leave it in, as it is quite a common mistake. Now, if you too make this mistake you can refer to the second Tutorial which shows the mistake and how I rectified it.
Better to be honest about these things........
These Tutorials are realy great and will help me to learn avid. Good job keep it up.
