Exporting Quicktime with Timecode MC 3.5 for FCP

How can I export a quicktime out of AVID with embedded timecode, so that I can import that quicktime into FCP and the timecode is the same?

I want to export a source clip from a AVID bin  and have the timecode transfer, so that when its imported in the FCP I can batch capture it.

Any idea? I heard MC 3.5 supports export to QT wit timecode

To append another question to this one, I seem to be able now to import a QT that already has embedded TC into Avid and the TC now makes it through the import! (No more workarounds required...)

Was this something that got added to 3.5.1?

    TIA

TC on imported QTs was added in v3.5.  It appears, though, that exporting QTs with TC is not yet available.

You used to be able to use Sebsky tools for this (to add TC to a qt after exporting) but it seems to be broken in recent version of the OS.

I've had some success with this however:

    http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/QTKitTimeCode/index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/DTS10004426

It's very basic and the default is always NTSC type timecode but I have used it successfully to put a timecode on a QT that COMPRESSOR then reads to burn into the picture so I suspect FCP should read it.

I wasn't that sure of all the settings though it's a bit cumbersome.

If you have FCP you could import your QT export and then "Modify" the "TimeCode"  and then the QT itself will have a TC track thereafter.  I think.
