Works here, just tried it for fun.

Command Palette set to Menu to button reassignment

Mouse click on the key you want to map on your keyboard setting (mouse pointer changes to a small white square with black squiggles on it)

Mouse click on left hand top of your source monitor and then on Load Filler.

Your selected key on the keyboard settings changes to "LF" Close Keyboard settings and Command Palette.

Thanks for the continued dongle support

Maybe a Mac thing or a MC 3.5.

I tried it on a PC MC 3.1.2 and 2 x PC 3.0.5 and it worked on all of them. I will be able to try it on a Mac MC 3 later today.

Thanks for the continued dongle support

In order to get it to work for me, I have to engage/activate the Source monitor first, then hit the button I've got mapped for Load Filler.

I'm on Mac too and it's been that way probably at least since MC 2.8

Yes... press the Escape key.  It toggles between Source and Record monitors, and will jump to the Source Monitor from the Timeline, and most other windows too (but mysteriously, not a bin!).

You can jump to the Timeline from any other window by pressing Command 0, and  to the Composer Window with Command 4.  Unfortunately, this will always activate the Record Monitor rather than the Source.

    Hope this helps!
