 I have spent the better part of  this week trying to track down which variations of the xw8400's were qualified by Avid.  We need to find a supply  in order to keep our Symphony  Nitris systems going. I have found some info  on the Avid site, a little unclear. I also received some information from the support line. The Avid site mentions DC and QC 2.33Ghz 8400's , but none of the 2.66Ghz systems.  The phone support line said  the 2.66Ghz systems we qualified. What is the deal?

BTW The only available systems I can find are DC 2.66Ghz systems.

FWIW we recently upgraded to 3.5.1 on a QC 2.66GHz xw8400. If you are concerned about ongoing support, you will need to verify w/ your Avid vendor - officially, our new host is not supported, probably because the Nitris DX HW will run on a xw8600, but SN 'classic' only to the xw8400.
