as i was reloading all the programs after finding that BCC seems to be the cause of that weird video freeze some are having, someone posted a link to a BCC updated, and it made me wonder if Avid FX is ever updated.

Does it get any of the same updates that Red may get?

and if so...where can i find that?

As far as I know, the updates for the special versions of 3rd-party software with Avid's name on them (Avid DVD and Avid FX as a couple of examples) are not updated at the same time(s) as the similar products with the OEM's name on them.

My original software was MC 2.8 and the 3rd-party titles that shipped with it.  I got the MC 3.0 update from a download.  To get the updated 3rd-party software that shipped with MC3, I purchased the software bundle from the Avid store.  To update each title separately would have cost quite a bit more.

It looks like you already have the versions that shipped with MC3.  There may be people reading the thread who didn't know about that software bundle.  It's for customers who downloaded the 3.0 update and did not get a boxed version.
