Embarrassed [:$] how to mix between progressive and interlaced material in one project

    Hi

I have a project that i need to edit it is a lot of events that need to be edit and export to a DVD until now all the materials came from one camera that is DVC-200 in dv format as interlaced so i work with 25i project
now i also get materials that come from HVX-200 as in mini-dv tape or on P2 card as DVCpro50 and as i know it is all in progressive (and all are in PAL)

so how can i mix them all in one project and still export the end product to a DVD and so that it will look ok as i know from a test i did if i work in 25p in avid and all the materials are interlaced  when i export it to a dvd it look bad.

so for that i need your help how to solve this problem.

    Tamir

Re: hot to mix between progressive and interlaced material in one project

AFAIK, you can't mix frame rates in the same project. I would stick with your interlaced project, and use a progressive plugin for the material that's interlaced - something like 3-Prong's Speedramp gives great results and is pretty cheap. Or you could use Avid's own Fluidfilm plugin, but be prepared for long renders.
