So what's the deal?
Is timecode capture truly an issue?
If so, is it going to be fixed?
Avid wouldn't say anything concrete about 24F b/c it was attached to a revenue generating product. But now that 24F support is out of the bag, can you tell us what to expect in terms of a fix?
Thank you.
Interesting to come across Kirk online, during a holiday weekend, and notice that this thread captured the attention.
Thanks for the continued dongle support
Perhaps something can be learned from these 92 post mostly expressing frustration.

Okay,
This whole 24f Avid experience is killing me! I was strung along kept being told that Avid was going to support it...finally I upgraded to 3.5 so I could use it...then I was not able to capture with timecode support and now..the day of my deadline I can not make a DVD. I get errors, no one seems to know what settings to use to get this out of AVID and some errors I get say I need proper timecode . I am so frustrated. It seems that no one has gone through this workflow? Has no one captured 24f edited, and then made a DVD with the footage? I get sent to all sorts of threads, that don't deal with the nuances of 24f export for DVD. Please anyone with experience in this HELP!
Goes and tries to put on the happy face....
lorenasa, in all fairness to Avid, no form of HDV can be made into a QT Reference file. So your export to DVD issues are not a result of how Avid handles/mishandles 24F.
