Yes, the filler changes the color after add edit.

Also this was fine in 3.05

Okay, what you're seeing St. John, I would say is not normal behavior. The other stuff others are seeing (where Filler changes based on what color the clip is that is directly under it's head) has been there since at least XDV I'm pretty sure.
FWIW, I have been seeing the "regular bug" on a multitude of versions and systems, including SN 1.7, 1.8, 3.0, 3.1, 3.5 and their MC sibling versions on both Macs and PC's. Effects like CC and Mask appear to automatically change to the color of any clip below them at their starting point.
It used to work differently on older systems, IIRC.
