Just in case engineering is still interested, here are my typical setups.  (I couldn't figure out how to add multiple pics to one post, so I've just replied to myself.)

And the reason why there's black space at the bottom of the right side monitor is I'm using an HP Pavillion laptop connected to a Sony Bravia "26 LCD, and I'm too lazy to try and match the resolutions, so I just went with whatever the Sony defaulted to.
