    Render question....

Working in 1.8.4 Nitris, 1080i 59.94.  I have a matte key corner bug that normally is a realtime effect(green dot).  When I layback to tape (digital cut) it is making me render the effect.  Never had this before....a bug...no pun intended...???  I never had to render when going to digital cut before with realtime effects.  Isn't that an adrenaline thing?  I've simplified the sequence and rebooted and all the other tried and true remedies.  Hmmmm...any thoughts.  Thansk.

Is the bug promoted to 3D?

Do you have High Quality turned on in your render settings?

No to 3D.  Yes, to high quality.  I tried other render settings but it doesn't change.  Hmmm

    Re: Render question....

When you engage the high quality mode (HQ on the effects editor), the effect becomes blue dot, meaning it MUST be rendered - it is no longer a real time effect. This is normal behavior.

    Re: Render question....

No blue dot.  It's Monday.  I forgot I moved the bug slightly to the left and therefore it has to be rendered!  Thanks for your help.  Dumbass Monday.  Cheers.

    Re: Render question....

Just a move shouldn't make it have to be rendered. But the HQ settings will.

    Re: Render question....

Yeah, that's what I thought.  I put the bug back on with no move AND HQ and it didn't need to be rendered.  Go figgya.  I'm laying back now and I'll check the settings again.  It sure is Monday.  Cheers. thanks for the help.
