Youtube video download for use with AVID

I have been trying to download YouTube video through DownloadHelper 4.0.2 with Firefox using every codec they offer in an AVI and/or an MOV format.  Avid considers all of them unusable files.  How does one do this successfully.  I even tried converting the files with Sorenson Squeeze to mov files, but Sorenson seems to crash every time.  I don't have a virus or spyware, system is in tip top shape.  Help  Windows xp sp3.

    Hi,

    try http://keepvid.com/

all you got to do is copy/paste the utube url. of the desired video.

it´ll save the file as mov.

which i´m able to import just fine.
