Color issues during capture and playback

I'm fairly new to Media Composer and have up to this point been working with FCP only.  I searched the forums and one other person posted something similar to this but there was no solution.

I've only gotten to the capture stage because my video has green and purple tints to it. I'm capturing from a DVX100A and in the monitor window the video looks perfect.  I've tried different firewire cables, deleting settings files...I don't know what else to do.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think your biggest problem is that you're trying to use a MacBook.  MC sys req's call for at least a MacBook Pro.  The reason is that the gfx card in the MacBook is not supported for MC.  This is probably the root of your issue.

Secondly, I don't think that OS 10.5.6 has been approved just yet for MC, but I'd be willing to say that you probably would be fine with that OS if your system was a MacBook Pro.
